The Truth Will Set You Free - 10.26 Sermon
This week we celebrated the Reformation as part of our service. The result of the Reformation was a renewed emphasis on the freedom we have in Christ. In John 8, we hear Jesus talk about that freedom. He tells us when we hold to his teaching, we know the truth, and the truth will set us free.

It's easy to let our comfort distract us from the people around us who are suffering or in need. That's what was happening in the time of Amos. God sends the prophet Amos to his people to call them out of their complacency and to move them to have compassion on their neighbors. His message is one that has very timely lessons for us as well about comfort, complacency, and compassion.
